Super yummy pizza and crust. Awesome red sauce. Well worth the drive from Louisiana.
We are new to the area, and were excited to try this place; as we always want to support local family owned businesses. I called to place an order for delivery shortly after they opened. The delivery driver was very friendly. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the presentation and taste of our food. I wish I could write them a better review. My Greek salad was a large bed of shredded lettuce (like you'd use for tacos) and mostly light brown in color, as if it was about to go bad. There was a single pepper in the middle of this large salad, and the dressing that was advertised as "special", appeared to simply be oil and vinegar without any seasoning, as Greek dressing usually have. The boneless wings had a very yummy hot sauce on them, however were the very breaded chicken nugget style you'd find at Applebees, where you get little weird bites here and there. My husbands spaghetti had a very tasty sauce, however the mushrooms we paid $1.00 extra for were completely raw and cold, as if someone had thrown them in as an after thought. The pasta was supposed to come with bread, which we didn't get. We will most likely give their pizza a try in the future, as that's what they're known for.
This is a great local pizza place that everyone who comes to Owatonna should try. While it's not my personal favorite (I'm picky about my crusts), I know many many people who rave for this place. Nick's has a long history in Owatonna as a local business and a perfect place to go when you want to try something new and different from all those corporate pizza chains.
My all-time favorite place for pizza. I don't think the decor has changed in 30 years, but that is ok as long as the pizza doesn't change. Keep up the good work & taste. Looking forward to stopping by on the next trip through Owatonna.
Love the pizza. Moved to Rochester 6 years ago and haven't been able to find any that compares.
