Service was great, atmosphere was good, Ribs I ordered were awful. The Ribs were overcooked leaving them tough with very little meat. Complained and sent them back. Replaced them with a different menu item. Issue I have is that the Ribs should not have been served in the first place they should have been tossed long before they were put on my plate.
The only thing that stood out was the appetizers. Otherwise the food was disappointing overall mainly due to subpar taste. Their bourbon chicken and shrimp had no bourbon sauce, just a glob a butter on the top. Their mac and cheese didn't have much in the way of cheese. The steak was the best meal we all had.
Got in at 730 and we were met with a unfriendly faces. Sat there for 20 minutes no drinks no waiter in sight. Got up and left after the table that came in after us go their server before anyone ever came to acknowledge our presence very unimpressed
I ordered the Parmesan steak (medium well) and shrimp. I asked for a substitution for one of the sides as a Cesar side salad. I was told it would be a $4 fee... Full price for a substitution... I could have added more shrimp to my steak for that price! I did not order the salad. My steak came out well done and really thin. I sent it back to the kitchen and received a very nice 3/4 inch thick perfectly cooked steak. Something is amiss here.
I go here just about once a year. Unfortunately I forget how bad it is and decide to go. As soon as I get my food, which imo takes a little longer than it should for microwaved food, I remember why I hated this place so much. The foods cold and you only get it in parts. "Here's your food, which is barely warm." "I'll take five minutes to get you silverware then another five to get the sauce that comes with it." By the time I get everything I need, it's room temp. I assume it's the managers fault. A team can only be as good as the leader and by the looks of this team, their leader has his head up his ass. I've been to 4 other Applebee's and had perfectly fine service. Why is this one so bad? Please stop going here! Let them go out of business so we can get something that isn't complete trash.
