Amazing! biggest county fair in Minnesota, I've heard. Good food, Animals, and of course, the Nitro Ice Cream!
Probably the best county fair in the state, the Steele county fair is completely free to enter and is MUCH larger than most county fairs as well. As far as food goes, it certainly competes with the state fair, but with the food being much easier to find as the food isn't as spread out (although more is added every year and not everything is along the main drag for sure).
I used to love this place. Was a great place for kids to hang with their friends and socialize. Food is delicious. But expensive to get. The only real reason it's not a five star is because of the carnies. Some are cool. But most have a bad attitude. I've seen one get upset at a child once. As for the games, it used to be that you just had to pay them dollar bills to play. But know I have to put my non wrinkled money in a machine to get tokens to play. It's a ridiculous process.
